PT-141 (Bremelanotide) is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide, a structural analogue of the hormone α-MSH. The peptide binds to the melanocortin receptors MC3-R and MC4-R, which are the subject of research in the central nervous system.

In preclinical studies, PT-141 was investigated in the context of melanocortin signaling pathways and their regulatory mechanisms.
