AOD-9604 is a C-terminal fragment of human growth hormone (hGH 177-191) with tyrosine added at the N-terminal end. It is a synthetic peptide consisting of 14 amino acids.

Structure and Research

Scientists have identified that the hGH 177-191 fragment constitutes less than 10% of the total growth hormone molecule. In preclinical studies, AOD-9604 was investigated in the context of binding to hGH receptor fragments and lipid metabolic signalling.

Preclinical models suggest that AOD-9604 does not compete with hGH receptors in the same way as unmodified GH, which is the subject of further scientific investigation.
